John Goble talk ...smashing night

John Goble, captor of Britain's biggest ever river pike, came into Essex for a blockbuster of an evening. Giving his first ever talk to any PAC region, his mix of short stories, humour added with a hint of indescribable, enormous pike images. The evening, by way of feedback, was extremely well recieved and John battled the nerves to put on a great show. For the shorter second half after the food and charity raffle, Tony Myhill, John's acquaintance, described some very peculiar lures and his good times over the years with the late, lure guide Charlie Bettell. For an insight into the great Charlie, here's some stonking footage of him in the boat with Gryff Rhys Jones, just click here...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNTMyXWwWZE
The Essex PAC Region 102 would like to thank John Goble and Tony Myhill for taking their brave pills and giving us an insight into their world of pike fishing!
At the top of this post is a photo never seen before....
